Red bulbs bad???

I saw on the supplies reccs list that it mentioned not to use the red bulbs with one, and was curious if that was meant specifically for that brand for some reason, or if red heat bulbs still had a higher chance of exploding and causing fires than clear ones, 5 years after warnings were EVERYWHERE on chicken pages.....
