New set...not so great or is it just me?

So I love TFT. Been playing since it came out. Genuinely love the game but this set is not impressive and is actually a bit...tedious? Is it just me? Compared to last set which was so creative. The characters talking to each other. The unlocking characters. This new set seems almost after thoughty. When I first saw it I thought it was space themed and I think that alone would have been cool. But space GODS? That seems copped out of old school gaming that fits with like ancient Rome theme but not really SPACE. Id have really liked to see space/ alien theme not space god. They dont go together and the set seems annoying in game play. Am I tripping or do others feel this way too?​​
