think i figured out why nobody is calling you back and it isnt your experience
laid off since Feb.. applied to 84 jobs in Mar. Zero callbacks, not "a few rejections"—literal radio silence. I was about to lose it, so I went down a rabbit hole of how Workday and Greenhouse actually screen resumes, and it’s not what Reddit thinks. It parses it for parseability and keyword density, in that order, before a human sees anything. If your CV is two-column, has a header/footer, or uses text boxes (every Canva template), the parser can’t read half of it. It was filtered out before anyone saw it. I ran my own through Affinda's free parser, and HALF MY BULLETS WERE GONE. Company names were mistaken for job titles; the skills section just vanished. so I redid it in simple single column, matched the verbs in the JD almost word for word, moved education to the bottom, used a real Skills header instead of cute icons. 4 callbacks on next 12 applications. I’ll not say another thing. changed. same experience, same level of companies, just a resume the parser could actually read. I was doing this manually for 20 min per app and got sick of it, so I built www.atshack.com to do it for me: $1 a resume, no account. But really, even if you don't use that, drop the current pdf into Affinda's free parser today and see what really comes out. If your bullets are missing or your titles are mangled, that's your problem. not the market nor your experience." A parsing bug between you and a recruiter that probably would have talked to you.
