Anyone ever has intense soul like eye contact with a romantic interest?

Yesterday my crush whom we share school setting had the most intense eye contact. Now I understand why some people describe spark or electricity. Sounds extrem but it felt like staring into each other’s souls and past that. It felt painfully long but quick at the same time. Has anyone ever had a sinila moment with a crush? Why does this happen?
