What’s a good-value used car or truck for hauling/towing motorcycles?

I’ve been thinking of getting a car or a truck recently to make it easier to tow my motorcycle to different tracks. Something that can get the job done simply and can be used an all-rounder beater car.

In other words, a bulletproof (if possible) tried and tested vehicle in the used market that can get the job done.

I know a truck or a van would be good for this kind of job. I don’t really know anything about trucks or vans. I’m also out of the loop on cars…I’m deep into the world of bikes and I don’t know much outside of bikes at the moment.

For regular cars, I could rent a U-haul motorcycle trailer, so that’s not a problem. They’re about $25 per day.

I don’t drive manual at the moment, but if possible, I would like to get a manual to learn.

Any tips, suggestions, or recommendations for a manual car, truck, or van, that will not cost me an arm-and-a-leg in the used market that is bulletproof for towing bikes, and small miscellaneous jobs/errands? Many thanks ahead.
