double tap on lock screen to turn off screen

im using a china rom redmi k80 and i wanna know if there is any way i can enable "double tap to close screen" while on lock screen? for some reason the phkne only allows me this when im using the custom lock screen wallpapers 🙃.

is there any fix/workaround since i don't wanna use any of the default garbage themes
