Suggested to "aim for more" than a nurse.

All my life ive been very unsure of what I want to do when im older- constantly switching between different jobs, from chef to lawyer to forensic scientist. Around 2 years ago I became very interested in molecular biology, as i enjoy research and biology (and im good at it). Around a few months, probably a year actually- ive been interested in nursing. I love science, and biology as i mentioned, but i love taking care of people and helping them as well.

My parents are against it. They say that its a "low labour job" which i completely disagree with, and that i can achieve something higher than that- that i should "aim higher", to be like a doctor or something. But i don't feel like im smart enough?

I never had the dream like most people do, to be a doctor- to save lives (i mean ofcourse thats amazing), but its just never something i imagined myself as because I knew that that kind of job was too high class for me, something i would never be able to achieve, and even if I did try, would struggle too much as im not smart enough. I mean medical school is one of the most difficult things in the world- at least from what I have heard.

Anyways i just wanted to ask, in the very slight by chance that I do take the doctor route, what would I even go for? Theres so many types of doctors. This is ridiculous i know, and if you don't have anything nice to say I would highly appreciate it if you just didn't say anything at all- but does anyone have any recommendations of what types of doctors i could look into? Im good in biology and chemistry, something people need in the medical field.
