What is happening

I tried listening to the audiobook, why is there a monkey, why is there a tornado in the cave, why do they keep talking about that monkey's pp???

I thought this was a story about an evil robot😭

Genuine question by the way, i have no idea if theres multiple versions of the story or if its just that weird
