what not to do as the “girl best friend”

HI GUYS i’m 19F and one of my best friends who i’ve been genuine friends with for years is a boy (also 19M) and recently a girl asked him out!!!!

im actually overjoyed for him but I REALLY DO NTO want to be the girl that someone is nervous about.

so far i haven’t really talked to him as much, and im definetely not going to be hanging out with him (we never rlly hung out anyway lol) and stuff

but is there anything you guys think i should or shouldn’t do?? like bc ive never dated and hes also never dated so we’re both clueless haha

my plan rn is to pull away a bit, let them do their thing and eventually if they ge together id obviously meet his girl and when she’s comfortable with me, i will talk to him normally (obviously not a lot or like being as “close” as we were before)
