Lindemann Announces Woodnote Bridge: A Purist Streaming Transport
German hi-fi manufacturer Lindemann has unveiled the Woodnote Bridge, a dedicated streaming transport designed for enthusiasts seeking a purist approach. By omitting an internal DAC, the unit functions exclusively as a high-end digital source, focusing on signal integrity through a MEMS Femto-Clock, jitter reduction, and advanced galvanic isolation. It is powered by an integrated linear R-Core transformer, moving away from typical switching power supplies for cleaner energy delivery.
Despite its minimalist design, the Bridge offers robust connectivity, including AES/EBU, RCA, and Toslink outputs, along with an HDMI eARC input for seamless TV integration. Priced at 1,650 Euro and consuming only 5 watts of power, it aims to be both a high-performance and energy-efficient centerpiece for digital setups.
