Amazon US to India transfer in 6 months - will I continue to get my remaining sign-on bonus?

Hi, I have an offer from Amazon US and I am planning to return to India for personal reasons. I am trying to decide between directly moving back right away and find a job in India (Amazon or otherwise) or continue for 6 months here. I recently heard that you continue to get your pro-rated US bonus amount even after you internally transfer internationally (India) within the first few months of joining. I have $195K of bonus spread over 2 years so this kind of gives me a significant financial upside after returning to India. Trying to get confirmation from somebody who has gone through this process!

P.S. I am looking for specific information around the bonus transfer and not broad advise on what option should I choose (6 months in US and transfer vs. finding a new job in India) :)
