Holy crap that was bleak

I feel like the people who say this was a weaker never read or arent used to grimdark or jumped straight in after morningstar.

I waited a week and im glad I did because this was bleak as hell. The betrayal and the death and the violence was all so grimdark and I love it i want more. The characters are way better in this, the world building is much better, darrow actually feels like a character now. I heard PB wants to write epic fantasy if its in the style of this i will eat it up but if its in the style of LOTR I will be dissapointed.

I thought Ephraim was a standout character and lyrias plotline was surprisingly intriguing.

I plan to read stormlight after lightbringer and then first law.
