Help for a build

Hi everyone,
about a month ago I upgraded my setup from a GTX 1660 Super to an RX 9060 XT 16 GB, expecting a noticeable improvement in gaming performance. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen much of a difference: many games still run quite poorly (unstable FPS, noticeable drops), and overall the PC feels fairly slow even in everyday use.

At this point, I’m starting to think that the GPU might not be the main issue, and that there could be some other bottleneck in the system (CPU, RAM, storage, etc.) or some suboptimal configuration/settings.

I’m not very experienced, so I wanted to ask:

• what could be causing these disappointing performance issues?
• do you think it makes sense to consider upgrading other components?
• (all drivers are already updated to the latest available version)
• I’m currently using a 1440p monitor — would it make sense to go back to 1920x1080?

• GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT
• CPU: i5 11400
• Motherboard: B560 M-PRO
• RAM: 16 GB DDR4
• Power supply: LUX 650W
