Need some advice from people already working in central govt jobs in South India 👀

I’m from Rajasthan and got selected for Office Superintendent (Level 6) in Income Tax Department. Now I have to choose a posting state preference among:

- Bengaluru

- Chennai

- Hyderabad

- Kochi

My priorities are:

- Good work-life balance

- Comfortable lifestyle for someone from North India

- Savings vs expenses

- Safety

- Food/language adjustment

- Possibility to prepare for higher exams alongside job

- Overall quality of life for a 20-year-old bachelor

I don’t party much, mostly introverted, and I’m okay with a simple lifestyle. Climate and friendly office culture matter too.

People who have worked/lived in these cities — which one would you recommend and why? Also mention things that outsiders usually don’t know before moving there 🙏
