I made a YouTube subscription tracker for Firefox, follow channels without opening YouTube

Been using Feedbro for YouTube subscriptions for years, but it's a general RSS reader and YouTube is the only thing I actually used it for. So I built something focused, just for me really but I thought I'd share it more generally.

TubeFeed opens as a browser tab, scroll through new videos, middle-click what you want to watch, move on. You never have to touch the YouTube homepage, recommendations, or autoplay.

• Unread counts per channel, per folder, and in the toolbar badge
• Folders with drag-and-drop reordering
• Right-click any channel or video for quick actions
• OPML import if you're migrating from Feedbro or another RSS reader and export for backup
• Five view modes (compact rows to large grid)
• No Google account required, no tracking, everything stored locally
• No API key needed, uses YouTube's public endpoints.

YouTube's RSS feed has been broken globally since early 2026, so it automatically falls back to scraping the public channel page.

Optional YouTube Data API key in settings as a last resort.

Happy to answer questions about how it works.
