I'm a little burnt out and frustrated
I will mumble for the following lines so bear with me. I'm sorry. I'm just tired.
-
I believe the growing number of incluencer-doctors is just because being a doctor is insufferable
-
You have a constant "death sentence" upon your head. Sneeze the wrong way and somebody will make a claim against you and demand compensation.
-
When I will become an attending will I turn evil? Will this happen gradually or momentarily? From which point will I start to treat residents as my useless minions?
-
We are the worst type of people. There's really no support. Everybody is like this is temporarily and we like to talk about burn out but at the same time there are so many who want to be the attending's favorite.
-
Why must everybody be involved in a research project at some point of his residency? I mean if I told you to operate at someone without being a resident of surgeon you'd be like wait what? I don't have the skills. Who said that research can be somebody's hobby?
-
All those "patient safety" just get on my nerves. Everything is defensive and just avoidance to get sued. We say blame game must be stopped, but it will never stop.
-
We are not super heroes and we stop acting like we are. This is our work and no matter how impotant a role may be, we need to care of our lives and of our families. We can't ignore our bodies, our feelings. But we constantly do that.
