Gearing for DPS as a Tank

Hey, played tank all season and really enjoyed instant queues. Lvling an alt DH now and was thinking about going Havoc. Does it make sense to get early gear 250-255 by doing m+/raid as tank with loot spec being havoc? Is it going to be quicker that way?
