Looking to channel your inner Dauntless? This DIY Tris Prior costume guide breaks down everything you need to recreate her iconic initiate look from Divergent. Whether you're hitting a con or just want a rugged, tactical aesthetic, these pieces are both functional and screen-accurate.

# What You Will Need

• Thermal Fleece Half Zip Fast-Dry Workout Yoga Running Top
• Black Knit Top
• Next Level Tank Top in Black
• Faux Leather Panel Legging Pants in Black
• Tempest Waterproof Textile Black Pants
• Gaerne Black Rose Motorcycle Black Boots
• Bates Delta-8 Side-Zip Black Boots
• Scunci No Damage - Flat Design - Hair Ties Black
• Black Bird Temporary Tattoos

Tris's Dauntless look is all about practicality and dark tones. Start with a solid base like a Next Level Tank Top or a Black Knit Top, layering with a Thermal Fleece Half Zip for that tactical, athletic feel. The silhouette should be streamlined but rugged enough for jumping on and off moving trains.

For the bottom half, Faux Leather Panel Legging Pants give you that edgy initiate vibe, or you can opt for Tempest Waterproof Textile Black Pants for a more heavy-duty military appearance. Pair these with Gaerne Black Rose or Bates Delta-8 Side-Zip Black Boots to ground the outfit with a sturdy, combat-ready foundation.

The finishing touches really sell the character. Use Scunci No Damage Hair Ties to keep your hair back in a tight ponytail or braid, and don't forget the Black Bird Temporary Tattoos on your collarbone—it's the most recognizable detail of her transformation into a true Dauntless warrior.

This outfit works perfectly for cosplay conventions, Halloween, or even as high-performance athletic wear. It's a versatile DIY project because many of these items can be integrated into your regular wardrobe after the event.
