05/05/26

So I made him pozole at home, this was on Sunday 05/03. I made it with him in mind, so with love?

I had made him cookies from scratch the previous week when I joined him to dog sit over the weekend at his family friends' home. Chocolate chip, and chocolate-chocolate chip with peanut butter filling. As well as horchata. He loved it.

The bowl in this picture is the dressed-up one that I ate at home myself, but I packed his up in a glass rectangular tupper to take the following day. I chopped some red onion and some cabbage, put it into a small round plastic container. Then I put some oregano in a ziploc baggy, and some tostadas with a lime separately. Brought it to work with me so I can give it to him after.

I went over to his home, gave him my insulated target shopping bag with the foods inside of it. I had also bought him his favorite flavor of redbull (coconut) and I got him king size Reese's wafer sicks, put all of this into that red shopping bag.

He was so happy, he told me I didn't have to. But I love to. I've always been giving. I grew up thinking I can gift my way into love, because that's what my only-child upbringing taught me. I want to make him happy so bad, because it makes \*me\* happy. Selfish? As per usual. But he seems to be enjoying it.
