DPRT is a mess, but roads are worse..

I attempted the DPRT yesterday north from Evans field - and it's mostly unridable. There are at least 10 downed trees across the trail that are extremely large and some of them won't be passable by most. Then you get to the trail construction work being done north of Belmont, and it completely shuts down forward progress.

So I bounced to the roads to head back south. The roads are even worse. We have ZERO bike facilities on the near west and NW sides. WTF is going on here in the suburbs? Why have we made zero progress in the last 5 years? Why aren't the suburbs working together to solve this problem? It's frankly embarrassing that I should desire to go back to Florida where they at least have an abundance of bike lane paint, despite being the #1 state for cyclists deaths from vehicle drivers.

Shameful.
