WMS Order Picking and 2D Concocted Barcodes

I'm trying to configure this system to force users to single scan for every unit, at least in the pick pack and ship department. When picking for kitting, or multiple units of a single SKU, one scan will pick the full quantity. How can I disallow that?

Also, does the system allow for complex scans, such as item, lot and quantity?
