Being calm and standing in truth and power is how you win

🤔 Opinions, Theories, Feelings, Speculation 🤔

This debacle shows that being the best person you can be, standing in truth, and being calm is how you win the prize.

If people target you, you just have to let them do their thing and gently protect yourself and eventually it all sorts out.

This is what BL did that basically backfired, let me count the ways:

  1. She texted defamatory slanderous things about JB before they even started the movie and rallied up all of her Hollywood big wigs. This showed that she never had positive intent for this movie. It was basically a takedown.

  2. In the process of rallying her dragons, she covered them with mud. Now anybody who was involved with her looks dirty. All those people were excited to stand behind her until the rubber hit the road and they realized there really wasn’t anything behind it besides what Blake told them.

2.5. When Blake used a corporation with a fake lawsuit to serve a subpoena to get phone records. That is way sketchy. When that happened I knew there was something wrong. You can’t abuse the system like that without expecting some kind of repercussions.

  1. She didn’t sign her employment or rather engagement agreement. Wayfair went so out of their way to put money in an escrow account and get everything pretty and lined up for her. They even started filming before she signed it because they were aggressively acting in good faith. When Blake didn’t sign her agreement, it looks like allegedly she didn’t get her payout -In addition to her flat rate income based upon how well the movie performed. Nobody can confirm this is true because we are not professional contract readers involved directly in the case. But it seemed like she might’ve missed out on a boatload of money because she didn’t sign her engagement agreement. Instead, she was using it as leverage to insist upon set changes and more power the movie. That certainly was a power move that blew up in her face.

  2. Showing the movie without permission of the studio? Isn’t that what she did? That was pretty sketchy. She wanted to get her edit out there so they couldn’t change it up. That was really messed up. Seems like a lot of money wasted for nothing.

  3. Deleting the dailies?! that is insane! Asking somebody to delete parts of the movie that would’ve helped support your allegations? Wow.

The moral to the story is you stand in truth. People will throw mud at you and they will try bring you down and they will say mean things. You don’t need to say mean things back. Justin didn’t say mean things back. He hired a PR firm to protect himself.

The public filled in the gaps with speculation. Ultimately remember that if you stand in truth and be kind, the world and the universe will come back and protect you.

I’m very happy that the trial doesn’t have to go on and embarrass everybody. On the other hand as a media consumer I’m disappointed.

I’m still looking forward to film students using this as a learning tool for business in Hollywood to acquire new tools. I expect it will bring change in Hollywood. I don’t know how much change because it seems like the Internet and streaming is finally catching up to the industry.

Regardless things are definitely going to change. Let’s all sit back and watch the show.

Thank you, Justin for bringing this movie to fruition. It certainly wasn’t what you expected, and I think it contributed more to society than you ever imagined.

Cheers to a settled lawsuit!!!!!!! Yippie!
