Stick nut on a fuel pump access port any suggestions on how to get it off without fire?

I have a 1995 Honda civic hatchback it’s fuel pump died and I have had it out of the tank before but now the nut just spins forever both directions and I have no idea what to do I’d prefer to not use heat or spark if possible
