Love to hear your journey and opinions

Hey everyone, I’m ftm and have started the process to apply for funding to get bottom surgery. I know the most popular place to go is GRS Montreal. For reference I live in Barrie, so the top 3 places, GRS, Women’s college, and Ottawa Hospital are all fairly far a decent travel. Although nothing is set in stone, I’m also still looking into Women’s college and Ottawa. However I’m most set on Montreal, but the biggest con is the traveling portion, another thing for me is I may very well have to do this on my own. Both my nurse and the 2nd nurse that has signed off on the funding application, have said I am very capable to do this alone, may be challenging but definitely possible to do no matter what. So I’m here to ask for; if you have a similar situation of traveling to Montreal alone for bottom surgery, I’ve heard some fly or my nurses said via Rail(the train) they offer some kind of special service/treatment for patients to be more comfortable? Any advice, suggestions, recommendations, all your stories and tips, all your thoughts and opinions are very much appreciated and welcomed!
