Experiences of extroverts being socially awkward on a date?
Please don't read the title negatively. I'm definitely socially awkward, so I'm not judgmental when it comes to this. I think the obvious answer is that yes, extroverts can be socially awkward because extrovert or introvert, we're all human.
I went on a date recently with someone who is more extroverted than me and it went badly. I don't want to go into detail*, but I had a therapy appointment this morning. My therapist noticed that I might be too focused on the extrovert/introvert label. So, I wanted to come to this sub to dismantle my assumption that all extroverts are really skilled socially/romantically.
TLDR: I would love to hear any stories of you extroverts on first dates, particularly if you were awkward and/or went with an introvert. If you were awkward, please tell me why, whether it had something to do with date nerves or maybe your date's personality.
*Because it doesn't feel appropriate for this sub. I've already asked about it on other subs!
