Any lesbians out there who have dated a woman with BPD be willing to share their insight? Or any BPD lesbians out there willing to share their insight?

I’ve been trying research but there’s so much negative shared info regarding people dating people with BPD and little to none information for what it’s like to successfully date a person with Borderline Personality Disorder (pwBPD)? Both negative and positive experiences are important but hoping to also learn more about the positive experiences if possible (please still share the negative anyways)

**I’m also curious to know what the experience is like having a sibling/relative/friend with BPD?

Looking to find common patterns and traits from the experiences and insights shared. Yes, I’ve looked at other subreddits regarding this subject but to be frank, I just want to hear and learn from queer people’s experiences (if not lesbians).

Forgive me, I am autistic and English is not my first language, these questions will sound repetitive but the specifics do matter to me:

1. how long were you in a relationship with them? What was it like?

2. are you currently dating a pwBPD and how long have you been dating them? Please describe your experience.

3. what are non-negotiables and boundaries you have set with a pwBPD to protect yourself and the relationship you have with them? How has that been going? What worked and did not work?

4. what kind of medication does a pwBPD usually take? I know there’s no set medication for BPD, just variations / mood stabilizers that could help?

5. are there any pwBPD who take medication and don’t go to therapy? (can you specify what meds you take) What has your life been like managing your relationships?

6. are there any pwBPD who go to therapy (can you specify what type of therapy) and don’t take medication? What has your life been like managing your relationships?

7. what is it your experience like being friends/related with a pwBPD?

8. those who date or have dated a pwBPD, what advice would you give to someone who dates one in the future? (Please state how long you have dated them or how long it’s currently been if you’re still in a relationship with them)

9. those who have been clinically diagnosed with BPD for 5+ years, what advice would you give to others who have been recently diagnosed? (please specify if you’re on medication/therapy , it’s also ok to say No for either)

10. pwBPD who have been clinically diagnosed for 5+ years, what advice or feedback would you give to a non-BPD that wants to befriend/date a person who has BPD?
