Feeling incredibly ugly and lost
I'm doing my own wedding makeup. I had an appointment with an MUA at the Lisa Eldridge counter and got great products that looked great in the mirror.
Whenever I try to replicate the look at home, it looks decent in the mirror but as soon as I take a photo to check how it looks on camera it looks dreadful.
I've spent so much money getting products which I thought suited me. I can't spend anymore. My friends live far away so they can only give me advice based on photos I send and I look like a clown in all of them.
I'm neutral olive for reference. LE no 9 is a perfect match for me. For some reason in photos it seems to make me look like my skin is a bit pink and so all the products look ridiculously warm. I've turned off all auto enhancements and googled what else I can do but it still seems to produce similar results. Part of me knows it's the camera because it even makes my lips look peachy in comparison to my skintone and I know that's not my natural lip colour. But another part just sees these hideous, clownish photos and wants to burst into tears. I've put so much time, money and effort into this and I can't even get one nice photo so I'm worried going to look dreadful on my wedding day. There's an AI auto enhance option which seems to make me look olive and that does seem to fix it but I know the makeup tone still isn't right. I'm using a Google Pixel which I thought was known for better colour accuracy.
Just feeling really lost and miserable.
