Visiting Georgia from Canada — what are the cannabis rules?

Hi everyone! We’re a Canadian couple planning a trip through Georgia. Back home cannabis is fully legal, so we’re used to a pretty open culture around it.

From what we’ve read, it seems like cannabis is legal to consume in Georgia, but not legal to buy or sell, which is a bit confusing from a visitor’s perspective.

We definitely want to be respectful while visiting, so we’d love to understand the general attitudes and what’s considered appropriate or inappropriate for travelers in this situation.
