Looking for help with removing background and making clean edges with photo uploads from iPhone into circuit design space

Hello, I am having a lot of difficulty using the native tools provided by circuit design space. For example, I’m taking a photo of the exact vinyl that I want to replicate, but it is impossible to make a perfect edge between the vinyl and the background. Cricut ends up trying to cutout shadows and glares from the iPhone camera shot. You can see from the rendered Image, there is a lot of pixels that are right up against the edge of the design that I cannot remove while preserving a clean edge. The final product comes out with jagged edges and takes a very long time to cut as Cricut is trying to cut each individual pixel around and beyond the edge. There must be some software that can make perfect work of this. Obviously, I’m trying to do it for free. Thank you in advance.
