Unpopular opinion: I don't like how Air Nomads are currently given yellow and red instead of yellow and orange
Avatar: The Last Airbender associated the four elements, and therefore, the four nations with very specific colors:
- Water Tribes = blue
- Earth Kingdom = green
- Fire Nation = red
- Air Nomads = yellow and orange
In the original cartoon, all Air Nomads were given yellow and orange costumes, including Aang.
But something changed in The Legend of Korra.
The classic Air Nomad outfit is now with yellow and red; even during Wan's era.
And then book 4 gave all airbenders red wingsuits.
There's a little problem: red is the color of firebending and the Fire Nation, and it has nothing to do with Air Nomads. The original colors of air bending and Air Nomads were yellow and orange.
I don't like this misalignment of colors at all.
