City vs rural survival debate

Where do you think would actually be safer long-term: cities or rural areas?

Cities have obvious advantages like access to resources, buildings for shelter, and supplies already in place, but the downside is population density, potential chaos, and limited space if things go wrong.

Rural areas seem safer in terms of space and lower population pressure, but you lose access to medical care, stocked supplies, and infrastructure support.

I keep going back and forth on which option would realistically hold up better over a longer survival scenario.

What’s your take , city, rural, or something in between?
