Food strike advice
My 3 year old unknown gender corn snake called Cheddar has decided he/she isn’t interested in food. Throughout mating season cheddar has ate absolutely fine just was incredibly active and twitchy.
Today although I opened the viv and he/she wasn’t really interested ( always darts out for food ). After about 20 seconds cheddar was very very active. But every time I offered the food it was like it didn’t exist. Currently I have placed the mouse on the hot side and he/she is exploring the Viv whilst ignoring the mouse the food is staying in the Viv for a couple hours then being taken out if not ate
Temps are perfect
Humidity is perfect
This is completely out of the normal.
Does this sound like mating season behaviour?
Whats the process? I don’t want to keep wasting mice so I was thinking offering again in 3 days? Or should I wait a week?.
Any advice other than refusing food her behaviour is normal ( just unusually active which I expect due to mating season )
