My theory regarding Chuck and chip the chamber brothers the truth behind their family connection
So, after starting a rewatch of the show recently, I started thinking about what the deal is with chuck and why he’s so eager to lash out and hold a grudge. And in the process, I started to think of a solution that may explain it. The solution being that… Chuck and Chip are half brothers. And this is something that leads to a lot so bear with me here.
The evidence mainly comes from the episodes iBeat the Heat and iBattle Chip. We know from these episodes that Chuck is a middle child having an older sister in the form of Gia as well as Chip being the younger sibling. But when looking back in iBeat the Heat, I wondered to myself “if Chip is Chuck’s brother, then why wasn’t he with the rest of his family in that episode?” I started to assume that since Mr. Chambers is obviously single, then it may stand to reason that he may only have partial custody and Chip may have been with his mother. However, I also wondered why only have one of the children at a time if it’s a joint custody thing? Unless, the rest of the children were not Chip’s mother’s. So, here’s how I think it all played out. At some point before we see Chuck, his mother (who’d presumably be Gia’s as well) either passed away or broke up with/divorced Mr. Chambers. Some time after this, Mr. Chambers would meet another woman whom he’d father Chip with. But due to whatever circumstances, the relationship didn’t work out and the two split, causing Mr. Chambers to have to share custody of Chip. So, considering that may have Chuck had his biological mom pass away/abandon him and then had his stepmom leave later on, it stands to reason that he would have a lot of lent up anger inside of him and possibly not enough ways to vent said anger (something I very much relate to after having a similar thing happen to myself.) So, not only would it explain why Chip is absent iBeat the Heat, it also explains why he is so prone to outbursts of anger and tends to keep holding a grudge with Spencer despite only being grounded to begin with. What do you think? Does this theory make sense? Do you have anything to contribute to this?
