People guilt shaming Nathan about his feelings is really annoying

SpoilerDiscussion

Nathan does plenty of reckless things throughout the series, but his feelings are his feelings and I hate how other characters try to guilt shame him about his feelings and even sort of gaslight him. The biggest examples:

Nathan needing space from Haley in season 3 and not immediately forgiving her. Almost everyone tries to rush him into getting back with her. They didn’t really show much understanding at all. Haley 100% should have fought for their relationship the way she did, but I wish we got someone like Karen or Lucas having an honest conversation with Haley about the severity of Nathan’s pain and what he went through. Haley never did seem to grasp the severity until she saw Nathan’s Time capsule video.

Haley’s pregnancy announcement. I love that Nathan never apologizes for his reaction because it was valid and he shouldn’t be pushed to say fake feelings about it. She can be scared about it and he can be too. That whole episode took place in like 1 day… like let him process it.

Skills and Deb’s relationship. Literally none of the other main cast would have been okay with their mom dating Skills, so I hate that it’s played as Nathan not being open minded to “unique” relationships. Especially since Deb and Skills were sneaking around doing sexual acts in Nathan’s house where Jamie could have seen them.
