New to town

Hello, just moved to sugarhouse area! I’m originally a rural exmo country boy (trans, don’t get too scared now lol) but I’m wanting to get into city life. Will be staring at the U soon. Can someone give me the lowdown of what areas are good to meet folks, what areas to stay away from? Where are good spots to socialize (currently under 21). I’m not a huge party-er but I do like to try new things. I want to make some friends, (especially in the transmasc community). What are some outdoor or nature spots I should check out? Open to trails that aren’t too grueling. Is there a street racing circuit around? What’s the lowdown on the live music scene? What are the best places to get good locally owned food? What are some free things to do around town versus not free? Just looking for any help or advice. Thanks!
