I know no more

Long have I eluded my fate.
Ran from the light that chased me.
Terrified the dark held the only mirror I knew.
the light would expose the hollow skeleton's secrets.

Yet dawn came. Stuck in the rays of truth.
Excruciating pain reshaped and unveiled a purpose long forgotten.
What have I become?
Afraid of what I once felt and was.

Let fate hurt me. I'm not here for paradise,
but to live and only live.
Let me love.
Let me fail.
Then claim redemption.
Then fall and love once more.
I know no more.
