Asthma Waiver

Hey. I’m in the waiver process for Army ROTC and just had my asthma remedial. My PFT numbers weren’t great and I’m feeling pretty down about it. I really want to join the Army and just don’t know if it’s even possible anymore. For context, I passed the ACFT, exercise without an inhaler, and have never been hospitalized or been to the ER. My doctor has seen better numbers from me before and scheduled a follow-up PFT in six weeks with meds. My remedial is currently closed in the meantime. Has anyone been in a similar situation and come out the other side? I have just been feeling pretty down and stressed about this whole thing and it’s just been a bit hard. Everything has been really rough and it’s something I really care about. I’d appreciate any support or shared experiences.
