Halloween vs New ayears

Hey! Looking to visit in one of these two dates with my wife and two dogs. I think will stay at Tha Academy Hotel and visit garden of the gods as well as other staples, some breweries with our pups and whatever you guys suggest. Which date do you prefer? 4 nights in total. TIA!
