I hate it when ppl act like porn addiction isn’t deadly compared to other addictions

Because it definitely can be, how many porn/sex addicts escalated to kinks that hurt or killed them? How many stories have we heard of death by erotic asphyxiation? How many stories have we heard of addicts losing all their money and becoming homeless or being unable to buy food for their family because of their addiction? It is dangerous for a lot of ppl, not just the addict but their close relationships too, and the more ppl deny that it’s harmful and that “porn addiction isn’t real because it doesn’t have the same bad affects as other addictions” it’s just putting more ppl in danger, I’m not saying it’s as dangerous as drugs or alcohol, but to say its not an addiction because it’s not bad or dangerous is just extremely bad faith, and ignores the reality of so many ppl who have lived this experience
