Getting sick of VW
I have a 2022 Taos with 43k~ miles on it which is purchased used when it had 12k~ miles.
Since owning it I’ve had to take it into the dealership for service around 5 times for different things which were all covered under warranty.
The latest service was for an EVAP system issue and they changed the carbon canister. They also fixed the rear spoiler as it was loose and they were supposed to fix the rear window sprayer as it was leaking (something I told them about at a previous visit as well). I also told them about a rattling noise when turning at slow speeds but they keep telling me they can’t find anything wrong. They kept my car for around 3 weeks for this service.
When I picked up the car I noticed a sound when opening and closing the trunk from a screw or nut that the must have dropped inside the door. I just let it go but a couple of months later I got a check engine light on which was related to the EVAP system again. I took it in (car now out of warranty) and complained about the check engine light which is related to the service the performed, the loose screw in the trunk door and the rattling when turning. They checked the car and couldn’t find anything wrong when turning, couldn’t find anything wrong with the trunk door and the replaced a sensor (pressure sensor) which took care of the code the computer what’s showing about the EVAP system.
Now about a week or so later I have another check engine light….another EVAP code.
So much for German engineering.
