Godox V860II-S randomly not firing on Sony A7 V — worked fine on A7 III

I’m using a Godox V860II-S flash. I used it before with my Sony A7 III, and it worked fine without any major issues.

I recently upgraded to a Sony A7 V, and now the flash randomly does not fire. It does not seem to be a recycle time issue, because the flash shows the red ready light and appears ready to shoot. But sometimes when I press the shutter, it simply does not fire.

It happens randomly. Sometimes it works fine, then suddenly it skips a shot, then works again.

I have already checked that the flash is seated properly on the hot shoe, but the issue still happens.

Has anyone experienced this with the Godox V860II-S and newer Sony bodies? Could this be a firmware issue, hot shoe contact issue, camera setting issue, or compatibility problem?
