Found family

in my early 30s and really struggling at the moment. curious if it’s worth trying to find an older adult to stand in for my mother just so that i can feel some level of emotional support as i’m struggling trying to manage alone. anyone out there have any luck finding someone looking to “adopt” an adult child? this feels so silly to ask, but i feel like someone has had to have some success, right? right?? :’-(
