Graded slabs question

Hi Brains trust

Thought I posed the question here to those of us who collects omnibus and graded slabs. It’s not meant to inflame, I’m just trying to understand the appeal and was wondering why do you collect graded slabs?

I understand the collecting and grading side, I used to collect basketball cards, it’s great to hold a piece of history.

What’s great about collecting omnibus is that it allows for the hunt for the cheap or great comic and then you get to read and enjoy it.

With slabs you can’t right? Don’t you get FOMO from not being about to read the comic? Or does the slab let you do that? Is it just pure collecting? Thanks heaps
