🏐 Ace Valentine "The Worst Player" (S- Tier)

Position: Wing Spiker (WS)

Jersey Number: 14

Style: Crowd Pleaser / Power Fanatic / Daring

Motto: "If it's not flashy, it's not volleyball!"

Height: 185cm

Team: Crimson Rose — Ace Valentine (WS), Yuna (MB), Zaion (S)

Jersey: Deep crimson base with black thorned rose insignia. Gold numbering.

Lore: Ace Valentine earned his infamous nickname not from a lack of effort, but from a complete disregard for fundamentals. He lives for one thing: the moment of impact. The thunderous spike, the gasp of the crowd, blockers scattered like dominoes—this is his theater. He's known to bet his entire savings on the "awesomeness" of a match, judging opponents solely by their power. For years, he was a lone player hunting for a worthy spectacle. Then he found Zaion, a broken setter alone in a forgotten gym, delivering perfect tosses to an empty net. Ace didn't see failure—he saw potential. He dragged Zaion to every court, demanding sets, slowly reviving what the world had crushed. Then came Yuna. Tall, intense, her eyes never leaving Zaion. Ace thought she was a stalker—until she blocked his spike so hard the ball embedded in the gym wall. "You're loud. But you're loyal," she said. "That's enough." She joined without asking. Now Ace has something he never wanted: a team.

Playstyle: The Power Ace. A violent engine whose output is dictated by spectacle. His balanced base stats transform dramatically based on the power levels on the court and his compulsive betting.

⚙️ Core Gimmicks & Skills

Passive 1: Thrill of the Spectacle

· Effect 1 - Boredom: If no player hits a spike above 125 km/h for 20 consecutive seconds, Ace becomes "Bored." All stats -30. (Stacks)

· Effect 2 - Hyped: When Ace hits a spike above 135 km/h, or successfully defends against one, he becomes "Hyped" for 12 seconds. Attack +25, Jump +25. (Un-stackable)

· Effect 3 - Awestruck: If an opponent hits a spike above 150 km/h, Ace becomes "Awestruck." For the remainder of the set, his total stat cap increases from 570 to 595, and all "Boredom" penalties are nullified. (Un-stackable)

Passive 2: Crowd Pleaser

\---

Active: High-Stakes Rally (Once per set)

· Activation: Ace declares a progressive goal (e.g., "Spike and score 4 points across the next 6 rallies" or "Block 3 spikes across the next 5 rallies").

🎯 Ideal Team Composition & Strategy

1. The Power Play: Feed him high balls constantly. His entire kit revolves around high-velocity rallies.

2. Synergy with a True Powerhouse: Going up against players like Raul or Nishikawa triggers "Awestruck," raising his ceiling for the entire set.

3. Weakness: Intelligent Play. Tips, feints, and controlled shots keep him permanently "Bored" and ineffective. He is the opposite of strategy.

🏐 Yuna Yamada "The Obsidian Rose" (S Tier)

Position: Middle Blocker (MB)

Jersey Number: 13

Style: Sudden Ace / Secondary Spiker / Aggressive

Motto: "Your sets belong to me. Only me."

Height: 180cm

Team: Crimson Rose — Ace Valentine (WS), Yuna (MB), Zaion (S)

Jersey: Deep crimson base with black thorned rose insignia. Gold numbering.

Lore: To the public, Yuna Yamada was just another high school girl—quiet, polite, always sitting in the same seat, always watching the same player. A mediocre setter named Zaion, whose gentle touch and selfless play captivated her in ways no superstar ever could. She collected every match he played, memorized every set he made. But she also memorized something else: every spiker who failed him. Every selfish swing that missed his perfect toss. When Zaion was publicly humiliated and exiled from his own team for a "terrible set" that was, in truth, a masterpiece wasted by an arrogant wing spiker's lazy footwork—Yuna watched it all. She smiled, because now she understood her purpose. She trained relentlessly for two years, transforming hidden athleticism into a terrifying weapon. Now, she plays alongside him, watching with satisfaction as he slowly begins to enjoy volleyball again. As for the wing spiker whose miss destroyed her beloved's career? He simply vanished before the next season. No one asked questions.

Playstyle: The Sudden Ace. A terrifyingly efficient Middle Blocker who functions as a secondary Wing Spiker. Her entire existence is dedicated to making her setter's work look perfect.

\---

⚙️ Core Gimmicks & Skills

Passive 1: Fear's Embrace

· Effect: The opponent directly across the net from Yuna loses -2 Jump each time she scores a spike. Maximum 5 stacks (-10 Jump).

· Drawback: All stacks reset immediately when the opposing team scores a point.

Passive 2: Jealous Defense

· Effect: Each time Yuna successfully blocks an opponent's spike, that attacker loses -2 Attack. Maximum 5 stacks (-10 Attack).

· Drawback: All stacks reset immediately when the opposing team scores a point.

Passive 3: Their Eyes Only

· Effect: If Zaion sets to any other player while Yuna is in "Vengeful" mode, she becomes "Neglected" for 8 seconds. Attack -20, Speed -20.

\---

Active: Jealousy's Thorn (Cooldown: 12 seconds)

· Activation: Yuna forces Zaion to set to her immediately for a quick attack.

· Effect 1 - Devotion's Reward: Attack +10, Jump +5 for this spike.

· Effect 2 - The Price of Jealousy: If another teammate was in position to receive the set, that teammate enters a "Discouraged" state.

\---

Unique Mechanics:

Insane Athleticism

· Defense: 90 ▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯ D+

· Speed: 100 ▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯ C-

\---

🎯 Ideal Team Composition & Strategy

1. Synergy with Zaion: She thrives only with Zaion as her setter. Any other setter risks triggering "Neglected" states constantly.

2. The Sudden Ace: With 180 max Attack as a Middle Blocker, she is a legitimate secondary scoring threat alongside any Wing Spiker.

3. Weakness: The Jealousy Factor. "Neglected" is crippling. Opponents who force the ball away from Yuna during Vengeance mode can exploit this hard.

🏐 Zaion "The Heart of Crimson Rose" (S- Tier)

Position: Setter (S)

Jersey Number: 2

Style: Hardworking / Relentless / Patient

Motto: "I can't crush a block. But I can build a path around it."

Height: 174cm

Team: Crimson Rose — Ace Valentine (WS), Yuna (MB), Zaion (S)

Jersey: Deep crimson base with black thorned rose insignia. Gold numbering.

Lore: Zaion was never gifted. While prodigies like Nishikawa and Raul were born with bodies built for thunder, Zaion was born with average hands, average legs, and maybe an above-average vertical. But he had something else: an unshakable will to keep moving forward. He trained obsessively, waking before dawn and staying long after everyone left, trying to force his body to catch up to his dreams. Setting became his craft—his way of touching greatness through the hands of others. His final high school championship was supposed to be his crowning moment. Instead, it became his ruin. A star spiker missed an easy kill off Zaion's perfect set, and in the chaos of defeat, the team turned on him. The public believed the fake narrative. His career was over before it began. For two years, he disappeared, working 9-5 jobs and convincing himself volleyball was a dream for the gifted. Then came Ace Valentine—loud, flashy, utterly arrogant—dragging him to local courts under the pretense of needing a "real setter." And then came Yuna. Beautiful, intense, always watching. Her precision, her devotion, her terrifying insistence that only he could set for her slowly reignited something he thought was dead. He doesn't know yet that her arrival was no accident. All he knows is that for the first time in two years, holding a volleyball feels like coming home.

Playstyle: The Gentle Setter. Zaion reads the game with hard-earned wisdom, anticipates opponent movements, and delivers sets so perfectly timed that his spikers feel like they have all the time in the world.

\---

⚙️ Core Gimmicks & Skills

Passive: Eyes of a Survivor

· Effect 1 - Early Jumper: If a spiker jumps too early, Zaion automatically raises the set height (up to 4.0m) to meet them at their peak.

· Effect 2 - Late Jumper: If a spiker jumps too late, Zaion automatically lowers the set height (down to 3.5m) to prevent them from swinging under the ball.

\---

Setting Style and Percentage

· Sets are medium-height with a gentle arc, designed for maximum adjustability, averaging 3.5m\~4.0m. Prioritizes spiker comfort over speed.

· Setting percentage:

· Wing Spiker: 50%

· Middle Blocker: 50%

\---

Unique Mechanics:

Quiet Trust

· Effect: After 3 successful spikes from a specific spiker off Zaion's sets, that spiker gains +2 Attack when receiving from Zaion. Stacks up to +10 maximum for the match.

Second Chance

· Effect: If Zaion's set is slightly off-target due to a bad receive, he has a 30% chance to "save" the set with a last-second adjustment, delivering a hittable ball.

Calming Presence

· Effect: Teammates have their "Discouraged" state duration reduced by 25%.

🎯 Ideal Team Composition & Strategy

1. The Anchor: With Ace's gambling addiction and Yuna's obsessive tendencies, Zaion's quiet stability is the team's most valuable asset.

2. The Enabler: His high Jump and Speed allow him to reach almost any ball and deliver it with precision.

3. Synergy with Violent Stars: He is the perfect partner for high-maintenance attackers. His patience gives Ace confidence and Yuna the devotion she craves. The trio gains +5 to all stats when all three are on the court together.

4. Weakness: No Kill Shot. Zaion cannot win points himself. His dumps are predictable, his serves are average, and his blocking is merely basic. He is entirely dependent on his spikers.
