I’m the lead marketer/CM for Gamokratic and also a solo dev, ever since I started working on this game - Arcade Asylum, I’ve wanted to update the Steam Page as I didn’t feel it did the game justice.

My main concerns with the original Steam page were:

\- the UI elements being low quality

\- the term “tokens” having a negative connotation for players as the term is used in web3 gaming and also it does not clearly represent its purpose in game

\- several alignment issues and inconsistencies in UI elements and copywriting

\- copywriting not taking SEO into account

\- the use of ai in creating some graphic elements (e.g. see page 3)

Looking at this critically, besides the game being fun I’ve known that the Steam Page was not converting impressions to wishlists or followers, despite regular game development updates and interest from the community.

We’re working on another game project at the moment and I’m trying to take as many learnings from this as possible. Because ngl, knowing the page was potentially being pushed down in the Steam algorithm was stressing me out so I requested we do a major overhaul and I did \*a lot\* of research on Steam page optimisation.

We also hired an actual concept artist/illustrator (who happens to be my twin sister) to update the UI and the game mode selection screens in-game - and this is the result… thoughts? I’ll post the Steam page link in comments

Traffic was high, but wishlists were bleak. We updated the Steam page, how did we do?
