Advice would be appreciated.

Marriage search

Salaam everyone,

I just need some advice from an outsider’s perspective. I’ve been speaking to a guy for marriage for about a month now. We met on Muzz, and everything seems alright so far. He’s been honest and upfront about a lot, and we’ve discussed many important things in detail. He’s consistent, makes effort, and has made his intentions and timeline clear. We also have each other’s numbers and follow each other on social media.

He’s also shared personal details with me that you would usually only share with someone you’re serious about. We voice note regularly and send snaps of our day. He is a divorcee and has been divorced for over two years now, and he mentioned that the divorce was quite messy.

The only thing that’s been on my mind is that we still haven’t spoken on the phone. I’m not sure if this is normal or if I’m just overthinking. He hasn’t even mentioned a phone call either, which is what’s making me question it.

We recently spoke about timelines, and his plan was to tell his sisters first, then his parents, and then move forward from there and get married as soon as possible. During this conversation, I was honest and said I would want a phone call and also to meet in public or with a mahram present. He agreed and said that’s what he meant by involving his sisters first, so that we could meet and he could bring his sister along.

We’ve both discussed doing things the right way Islamically. We also spoke about speaking to other people, and I told him I don’t speak to multiple people at once. He said he was speaking to one other person previously, but it didn’t work out.

We’ve both done istikhara and haven’t had any bad signs. If anything, I’ve felt a sense of ease overall, but this one thing is still on my mind and I don’t know if it’s just waswasa.
