“Testing Video Strategy: Listings Showing Up Fast on Google
Testing a basic YouTube SEO strategy on property video tours, and it’s working better than I expected. Some videos are showing up on page 1 of Google for the actual property address within a few days.
I made a separate YouTube channel just for listings and tried this across multiple properties. So far, the rankings are sticking and not dropping off.
Big bonus I didn’t think about at first: these videos could keep ranking long-term. Down the road, you could basically “own” the search results for homes you’ve listed or sold, which Zillow and Redfin don’t really do the same way.
Now I’m trying to figure out—is this actually a solid marketing play, or just something that looks cool but doesn’t convert?
If anyone else is doing something similar, I’d be interested to hear what’s working. I’m mainly optimizing titles, tags, and descriptions around the exact address and nearby comps, but curious what other ranking strategies people are using.
