May 2026 Newsletter

As global crises continue to dominate headlines, we’re choosing to focus on the people and movements creating real change.

In this newsletter:

🌍 Colombia hosted the first International Conference on the Phase-Out of Fossil Fuels and took steps to leave the ISDS system.

✊ Youth from World-Changing Kids and the Upstander Academy stand with Kebaowek First Nation against a nuclear waste dump on Indigenous land.

🌊 Boyan Slat’s The Ocean Cleanup continues expanding efforts to tackle ocean plastic with new river Interceptors and the 30 Cities Project.

📢 We also explore the links between fossil fuels, war, and “energy security,” share grassroots organizing tips, climate healing resources, and powerful messages from young people demanding accountability.

Even in difficult times, people around the world are organizing, resisting, and building alternatives. We must persist, for each other and for future generations.
