Designing island

I unlocked the ability to design my island about two weeks ago. I haven’t done a single thing because I’m just so overwhelmed. I don’t know where to start or what my goal is. I feel like I don’t have enough furnishing options to start creating & get a vibe.
I do watch videos of people’s islands & look at their pics for inspiration, but any help on where I should start would be appreciated. 🩷
