Sex in the first chapter or not?

So, to provide some context. The story is about A and B, who are growing up in a small, conservative village. It's an abo setting. I either have the option of making them "accidentally" discover sex during hormone-induced experimenting or letting it build up and make them fuck deeper into the story, with some other smut stuff preceding it. Suddenly both of the options sound good and bad simultaneously (and they'd kinda dictate how I move into the plot). Asking AO3 collective for help.
